“Tell me about yourself?”
A simple, yet powerful question better known as the two minute drill. Some dread this pitch. I embrace it.
I spent this past week at William-Patterson University’s National Sales Challenge. There I met with some of the brightest minds in the sales profession. I competed with them, I learned from them, I became inspired by them.
With the help of my extraordinary coach, Professor Quinn, I was able to craft a winning two-minute drill that showcased my passions, personality and accolades.
My answer to the question, “tell me about yourself?” did not follow the normal guidelines. I took a risk, and it paid off. I placed first out of 60 alternates. An award HPU has never won.
Thank you High Point University for providing students with extraordinary opportunities and to the PSB Professional Selling Club for sponsoring the event.
Here is my advice to you: Take risks. When executed with confidence, your risks can pay off.
