Snapshots Of Summer || Week Four: Now It’s Time To Live My Dream

On Saturday morning, I packed up my car and left for school. I left Pinehurst not knowing exactly what to expect upon arrival. My stomach was a tad uneasy, the smile on my face was a smidgen too big, and the tears in my parent’s eyes were a bit too much to handle. Moving into my dorm and leaving my parents behind was definitely hard, especially since I have not seen either my mother nor father in weeks. I think everyone’s tears were happy tears. There is no doubt in my mind that I am at the right school for me.
Putting into words how amazing it is to finally be at High Point is challenging. I am overwhelmed with excitement, struggling with learning new names and beginning to recognize friendly faces. I made good friends with the girls on my hall and reconnected with a few old friends. I am looking forward to forming new friendships and engaging in new experiences all while furthering my education.
This picture of my family and I made the HPU Instagram page. Dreams really do come true!
The girls down the hall and I roamed campus together before orientation!

Our little “squad” went to Chick-Fil-A and Cookouts all in one day. We wanted to introduce our non-Southern friends to our Southern favorites!

Sydney, who lives down the hall from me, was too excited to fall asleep last night! We ended up staying awake until around 3am.
On Sunday we headed to the High Point Estate where I conquered my fear of heights on the HPU ropes course!

The High Point Estate was absolutely stunning.
I am not sure what exactly to call this “Adrenaline Rush” game, but it did give me an adrenaline rush!

Sunday night, I met the sweetest girl in the most adorable White-Tag Lilly who actually knows a few of my friends from Pinehurst!
So far, HPU has been so good!
Now it is time to live my dream.
Be sassy, optimistic, and a little bit darling!
Stay quirky!

This is a great place, it’s superb that the people at party halls in Boston MA recognize that the holiday party is the time to celebrate not only the year’s achievements, but the talent and teamwork that made those achievements possible.
