Snap Shots Of Summer || Week Five: “Can I Be On Your Blog”

I love super long Snapchat stories, taking one to many pictures and always asking, “Can we take a selfie?”. Some may argue that it is better to live in the moment then to document the moment- and I agree with that statement to a point. Though I rarely text, email, or use social media while I am with my friends- I always, and I mean always, am taking a selfie. My favorite thing to do is watch my Snapchat story before I fall asleep. I love reliving the fun moments in my day and being reminding of the incredible life and I so blessed to be living.
It seems like every time I go to take a selfie with one of my new friends they ask, “Can I be on your blog?”. And every time I ask someone to take a picture of me they ask, “Is this for your blog?”. I find it absolutely hysterical that making it on my blog is somewhat of a big deal. It is refreshing to be around a group of people that are supportive of my blog, as I did not experience that much it high school. Though some of my classmates do not fully understand what exactly a blog is, they, for the most part, find it awesome and interesting that I am following my passion.
Therefore, I am dedicating this blog post to all of my new friends who are constantly asking to be on my blog!
For my first day of classes I wore my favorite Lilly dress that I just so happened to have worn the first time I visited campus!

Arguably, the best part about Summer Experience may be having 19 Magic Meals per week. A Magic Meal is a free swipe at any campus location… including Starbucks.  Aka, Mandy is really happy!

A colorful life deserves a colorful outfit!

I think I have worn Lilly every single day here. Whoops?

My super adorable friend Sarah and I have the exact same class schedule and I spend almost my whole day with her! We are both super focused on school and it is refreshing to have a study partner who it motivated to succeed!
When it gets too hot in North Carolina, it rains heavily for short period of times to cool off. Our Campus Concierge hands out rain ponchos and wet umbrella bags (that make excellent pants)!

I lucked out in the friend department…

A few of us girls went out to dinner on Friday night! It was super refreshing to get off campus and to have an extra large meal. We all put out phones in the middle of the table and only looked at them twice: once to take this picture and once to take a picture of the fire. Because lets face it, if you don’t take a picture of the fire on the grill, did you even go to hibachi?

Since it is in between summer sessions, the Summer Experience kids are, for the most part, the only kids on campus. I had the opportunity to bond with a new group of amazing people on Friday night!

The RA’s for Summer Experience are hands-down some of the best people I have ever met. Especially my RA Annie! Her and I just clicked immediately! She has made the transition to college so much easier.

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays! Aside from a cookout and fireworks, you never know what exactly to expect.
We began our Fourth off with Starbucks and a trip to TJ Maxx. I am not sure if you could get any more American…

I cannot stress enough how much I absolutely love High Point. It is so much better than I thought it would be- and I am probably equally as surprised about that statement than you are. HPU is not living up to my expectations, it is exceeding them!  It is so easy to be happy and in love with life when you are at an institution that makes striving for excellence so darn easy. High Point is literally perfect. Week one of college is complete! I am excited to see what else is in store.
Be sassy, optimistic, and a little bit darling!
Stay quirky!
P.S. Don’t forget there is still time to enter my giveaway with Trend Tribe!
