My new friend and fellow HPU Panther, DJ from Tailor Made Style, and I roamed our school’s beautiful campus a few weekends ago. Honestly, the whole day was filled with spontaneity and I absolutely loved it! DJ is such a sweet guy and him and his awesome photographer are so full of laughter!
We both really love dressing up, the color navy, and having that “Wow!” piece in every outfit. Our outfits were basic navy and white pieces that are stables in both of our wardrobes. My dress could easily be dressed up or down. After our photoshoot, I swapped my statement necklace out for a simple hot-pink monogrammed necklace and my favorite white Jack Rogers. DJ ditched his coat and bowtie and unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt for a more casual look.
I am oh so happy DJ reached out to me at the beginning of the month. It is refreshing to find someone in real life (not just over the internet) who blogs. Being able to share our accomplishments with someone who knows how hard you have to work to achieve what we have is amazing. It is so different from having to call your blogger friends on the phone to tell them the good news because you get to actually feel the excitement in the air. He just recently found out that he will be doing a collaboration with Express Mens! I felt honored to have been able to see the excitement on his face when he shared the good news with me!
The other plus to having some pretty awesome blogger friends is always having someone there to guest post when you literally have no time in your schedule (S/O to life for keeping me busy)!
I always have to make time for a quick selfie!
If I could take one thing away from blogging and run with it, it would be the chance to meet new people like I have over the past few months. It’s definitely meeting new people like Mandy that has made blogging worthwhile!
Where are my manners? I’m DJ Hargrave, a men’s fashion/lifestyle blogger, sophomore at High Point University, full-time Wendy’s frosty goer and a part-time Drake advocate. I heard about Mandy and her blog during my freshman year when I started Tailor Made Style, so I couldn’t wait to meet her and spend a day together (along with my photographer, obviously) like we did a few weekends ago.
After getting “Prime-Ready”, we journeyed around campus to find a good view plus a little blockage from the sun (I can’t work on my tan 24/7, you know) and it was a success. After spending a day with Mandy, I could say a lot of good things but I have to point out one: She truly cares about her readers. I think she referenced her readers more in one Saturday than I have after three months of blogging.
How killer is the view from our study lunges outside of the Learning Commons?
Nevertheless, I learned a lot from Mandy the blogger and had a better time with Mandy the person. As for me, you can find me over on my blog Tailor Made Style or at Greensboro Fashion Week as the official fashion week blogger. It’s been a pleasure!
Thanks for guest posting and for spending the day with me, DJ! It was a pleasure getting stopped by the ‘paparazzi’ with you!
Be sassy, optimistic, and a little bit darling!
